Andressa Urach was able to get free of the abuse after her foster grandma caught her doing it. Andressa then returned home to her mother, and she was not aware that she was abused up until Andressa published her memoir. In interviews, the famous woman has claimed that before her conversion to Christianity she would not be able to forgive her victim. I made one of the hardest decisions of my life I called the man who sexually assaulted me. It wasn't an easy task to do. After many prayer symphonies and fasting I said over the phone that I forgave the man and, even though I was not guiltless, I asked him for forgiveness. In no way did I justify my actions, I just asked for forgiveness. Mariste Urach discusses in an interview with Globo about how she felt after learning of the abuse her daughter had suffered. She went to the city in Rio Grande do Sul where the perpetrator lived in order to take the revenge.
